Nicholas (Nick) D. Snider
Retired Senior Vice President, United Parcel Service (UPS)
Philanthropist, Author, Collector, Patriot

Nick Snider’s life has always been centered on service. He served in the US Army as a commissioned officer followed by a 33 year career with United Parcel Service (UPS). Snider was actively involved in numerous UPS community projects and was instrumental in building and developing its worldwide volunteer program. He was awarded the first national UPS Corporate Community Service Award, now given annually. He is an active supporter of the USO and currently serves on the Georgia USO Board of Directors, as well as many others (see below). A Commissioned Officer of the United States Army and a 1965 graduate of Officer’s Candidate School, he is a lifetime collector of patriotic jewelry and collectibles, of which he has acquired one of the world’s largest collection. He has authored 2 books on Patriotic Collecting (1995 & 1996) and collaborated on a third in 2000. For many years he has dedicated his life to creating the National Museum of Patriotism in Atlanta which opened on July 4, 2004. The museum’s mission is to promote the history of patriotism, to encourage people to examine what patriotism means to them, and to educate students and to promote civic participation.

More recently, Nick has guided the National Foundation of Patriotism in partnership with many other organizations like the Medal of Honor Society and Foundation, as well as Library of Congress projects, and many other service organizations. Through the National Foundation of Patriotism, Nick focuses his efforts on reaching all generations with a message of positive American Patriotism through their website, social media, causes, and events.

Nick Snider is available for interviews, as a leading authority on Patriotism, and motivational speaker, for your next event.

One of the experiences that motivated Nick to start the National Foundation of Patriotism was a speech that Nick heard about Patriotism, from President Ronald Reagan.  This video is incredibly inspiring, so much so that we’ve included it to the left.  We encourage you to watch it.
